So, I didn't exercise at all today, but I didn't sit around binge-eating, either. So, I think I did alright. I'm not happy with not exercising all day, but I'm happy that I didn't fall back into the bad habits of boredom eating, which is one of my main weaknesses. I stayed in my house all day with not much to do and still managed to only have two meals. I'm quite proud of myself for that fact! Go, me!
I'm starting to break the bad habits I had for myself (such as NOT exercising AT ALL, eating everyday after work, eating when I'm bored, and eating huge over-abundant portions of food). These are huge steps for me, since I had been doing these things for, well, most of my life, if not all of my life. Even when I was a vegetarian, I would still eat when I was bored and snack on something after work everyday and eat huge portions. So I'm super-proud of myself for not really having to think about it as much and just going about my day and realizing at the end of it, "Hey... I would normally have eaten a bowl of cereal, some chips and salsa, and probably all the leftovers in the fridge by now and it's only noon, but I didn't! I just had two square meals and drank plenty of water instead!"
I think a lot of it is helped by the fact that I don't just have a ton of extra food lying around either. Usually, I have a lot of grab-n-go snack food, things I can just grab and nom on throughout a boring day, but I haven't been buying Oreo cookies and Little Debbie's and potato chips, etc. So without the temptations around, and by reforming my habits, I'm teaching myself new healthier habits that are leading me toward my goals.
So I'm not happy that I didn't exercise, but I think three weeks of exercising at least once a day, I deserve one day of rest. Tomorrow, I shall begin again, back on track, and just as hard as the past three weeks!
