Daydreaming About Dresses

I'm getting more and more into clothes, and I can't wait to be at a weight where I feel more comfortable with my body and will feel free enough to wear the clothes I imagine myself one day wearing... Here are some items I'm craving like crazy, and if I find them, I'll be so so happy and so happy to wear them.

Under the cut, my clothesgasms...

Pretty Yellow Sundress

I like the color yellow, I think I look pretty good in it, and having worn my new sun dress and bohemian-style flowy skirt all week in Florida, I'm getting used to the feeling of wearing skirts and dresses. I like the feeling of freedom they inspire, and I like how pretty and feminine I feel in them. I would like to own a fun and flowy, knee-length sundress to brighten up my wardrobe.

Shirt Dresses

I. Love. Shirtdresses. There are several reasons I am drawn to them:
  • I love the ambiguity of them. They mix masculine with feminine and to me that makes the shirtdress so very interesting.
  • To me, I feel ultra sexy when I'm wearing a boyfriend's oversized shirt. I love smelling him so close to my skin, I love feeling smaller than him, and surrounded by him, and I know it turns him on seeing me in his clothes. With a shirtdress, I can take that feeling out and about with me, even though the garment doesn't belong to my boyfriend, I like that look of having slipped into a boyfriend's shirt and wearing it around. It's sexy, it's fun, and I like that idea.
  • I like how casual the shirtdress can be, and also how elegant it can be. It looks like an oversized men's shirt at first, but upon closer inspection, you can see the tailored lines of a shirtdress, how it pinches in at the waist to create a nice casual, but sexy, silhouette. Again, it blends the masculine shirt with the feminine lines and structure of a dress. I love that.

Little Black Dress
Now, a little black dress is something every woman is supposed to have in her wardrobe. I do not, nor have I ever, owned one, and the prospect of wearing a form-fitting, short, little black dress appeals to me. I daydream of making such a simple dress pop with a burst of color in a necklace or bangle bracelets. Perhaps bright yellow or red stillettos would make the dress come to life... I love the simplicity, and yet pure elegance a little black dress brings forth with hardly any effort. You can wear them to anything, and they always look chic and stylish!

 Maxi Dresses
While in Florida, it seemed that maxi dresses are the in thing. I fell in love with them, and I'm not sure if they are in style right now everywhere else, but I can assure you they are big in St. Augustine, Florida at the moment. I love how they are flattering at the top, and although they are long, they give a nice feminine curve at the hips so your figure isn't lost within their length. I like how easy it would be to throw one of these on and wear with cute flip flops or even heels. I need to pick up a few of these dresses.
