Thinspiration Version 2.0

As I've said before, I don't believe in the term "thinspiration", especially when it applies to using stick-thin models and actors as a weight loss goal. Imagining your body to transform into someone else's body is a fruitless endeavor. You can never reach that goal, because your body is built differently than someone you may be idolizing. Your calves may not be as long as theirs, or your hips may not be the same width, and so on. So using photos of someone else's body is not the way to go to get inspired about losing weight...

Something I like to use instead is clothing! It sounds simple, but let me explain. I daydream, all the time, about outfits and ensembles I would love to wear. But when I go to the stores, I can't find articles I want in the sections of the stores that house the clothes I can fit into. I gaze longingly at the sections of the store that hold the cute outfits and clothing that I yearn to wear, and wish it would magically appear in the bigger sized sections. However... now that I've started my journey to being happier and healthier, and losing a lot of weight along the way, I'm starting to see those sections of the store as attainable goals! I could be shopping in those sections, buying those cute clothes I've always been drooling over, before I know it!

So I'm going to post some personal clothing inspiration for losing weight. I want to feel confident and happy enough in my body that I can wear these outfits, and be able to shop in the sections of the stores where such outfits are sold. I'm well on my way and soon enough I'll be there!!!

I've always wanted a cute, short yellow dress. The reason I wouldn't wear such a thing now is that buying it in my size makes it bulky and not form-fitting. I also don't like the size and lack of tone in my arms, so I would never wear something like this without a cover over the top. My legs would be totally fine in this dress! But my middle and my arms are holding me back.

Now this may make me seem a little... slutty, but I've always been a fan of the Dukes of Hazzard. One of the most iconic images from that show, the General Lee aside of course, are those Daisy Duke shorts. Now Daisy here is showing a bit more midriff than I may ever feel comfortable showing, but there's something undeniable "girl next door meets sex kitten" about a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up and some Daisy Duke jean shorts. I would pair them with high heels and hit the town. The problem with wearing these now is that the jeans I can fit into at the moment have more room in the groin and if you cut them too short, you end up with a skirt as opposed to shorts. Believe me, I've tried. I ended up with a hot denim mini skirt, but I was really trying for some Daisy Duke style denim cutoff shorts, lol.
